M5 — An Avatar Make-Over
For this section of our Art and Design course, I am going to attempt to follow the "Avatar" tutorial, which looks like a challenge!
I've picked the photo I am going to use, one from my mountain climbing days back in the 1990s; and as this is a black and white image, it will be a little more of a challenge to get all of the colors right.
I've edited my chosen image, adjusting the contrast and brightness with a Photoshop plug-in called "Power Retouche Black and White Studio". I love this filter for working with black and white, but the person who created it has stopped updating it for Apple computers so I will be sticking with Photoshop CS6 and Apple's Mojave OS for the foreseeable future, so I can keep using this plug-in!
